GenTran 53002 Generator Cord Power Inlet Box for 30 amps 120 volts

Before you start buying the best looking or biggest brand name hedge trimmer out there, you should learn a few of the basics. In this article I will go through some of these basics to help you learn more about what you should expect from your new hedge trimmer.

There are three different ways a hedge trimmer can be powered. Hedge trimmers can be powered via electricity, and gasoline rechargeable battery packs. Hedge trimmers which are powered by electricity are typically lighter and are designed for uninterrupted trimming. The downside: you can only go as far as the cord. This isn't a great idea if you have a large yard or don't like the safety factor of having extension cords lay across the yard.

Gasoline hedge trimmers are mobile because they aren't restricted by the use of a cord. They are more powerful due to the nature of gasoline. However, gasoline driven trimmers are louder, weigh more and pollutant due to exhaust fumes.

Rechargeable battery driven hedge trimmers allow you have the mobility of a gasoline with the cleaniness of a electric trimmer. You don't have to worry about cutting the power cord, because there is none. Although less powerful than gasoline, you will still usually have around 30 minutes of use before you would need to recharge it. It's a smart idea to have multiple battery packs so you can use your rechargeable battery hedge trimmer non-stop.

Hedge trimmers use a single-action, where the top blade rotates, using the stationary lower blade to cut against. Double-sided blades slide back and forth so as to sweep across hedges in both directions which ends up giving a better cut.

To reach those hard to get areas, a double position trimmer means you dont have to climb high up because of the blade angle. You can simply adjust the head with the blades to cut.

Make sure to pick which features you require so you don't get buyers remorse with your new hedge trimmer.
